History Channel playing this a lot lately.

Anybody sense that between Ancient Aliens of the Original 13 Colonies, Sasquatches of the Mayan Empire, and cord-cutting that the History Channel is desperate for viewership?

Edit: I confess, I used to play hooky from middle school and hang out at my grandparent's house and binge watch Modern Marvels, This Day In History, and that one show with that fat gun nut who would show off all the firearms from all the American wars.

...Wait, now that I think about it, if I am just going to watch educational programming...why was I skipping school?

Being a older 40 something, I watch this as often as I can. Always reminds me of my grandfather who was in the European theater. I miss him and feel like I never gave him the respect he deserved. He died about 5 years before this series and a couple years before saving private Ryan. Maybe these two franchises over dramatize, but I never appreciated his service until I saw them. Would love to tell him how proud I am of him.

History’s Mysteries is one of my all time favorite shows. Used to spend entire days watching history channel. Probably a contributing factor in me getting a degree in history later on.

ETA: I watched Band of Brothers last week just because I started a new book on D Day and felt it was time for another viewing. I love always noticing another actor who would go on to be famous.

Masters of the Air.

Been in talks since at least 2017. Reallllly slow moving. Kinda got off the ground right before COVID. Then COVID hit and halted everything. Then, just this past February, they finally cast the main lead actors.

But considering that it took 2 years from start of filming to airdate for Band of Brothers and The Pacific, don't hold your breath on seeing it any time soon.

Memphis Belle is a guilty pleasure of mine. had a really good cast but was a little over the top with the drama. good sound track.
