Marvel is all 3.

Disney Marvel and Sony Marvel have no rights to mutant. Fox Marvel has no rights to Avengers

I understand what you are saying but it's just going to confuse folks more by saying it that way.

Sony has contract rights over Spiderman and many of his supporting characters (Mary Jane Watson, Aunt May, Doc Ock, Lizard, Green Goblin, etc). The Sony contract does not extend beyond Spiderman and his crew. Twentieth Century Fox has the rights to Fantastic Four and XMen, and the main supporting characters (Silver Surfer, Sabretooth, etc). Marvel Studios owns the rest (including having gotten Blade from New Line Cinema, got Daredevil back, Luke Cage, etc. but excluding Namor - he's with Universal).

So to keep it simple:

20th Century Fox has FF and XMen locked on exclusive contract

Sony has Spiderman locked on exclusive contract

Universal has Namor on exclusive contract

Marvel Studios has everyone and everything.

Obviously I'm a big fan of this Marvel film universe....

But the addition of Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver just boggles my mind. So many better characters, and they already have 6 awesome characters to work with. I get the need for new blood, but if that means less screen time for Cap, IM and Thor, I'm not so sure it's a good thing. If they wanted a character to help carry the show....there's a hefty list of better choices. And of course these are set pics, but Olsen would look more comfortable in Singer's movie it seems.

You do know Andy Serkis spent the entire LOtR trilogy doing Smeagol dressed in a leotard with motion capture sensors on, right?

Whedon said the Avengers in the first film all had mostly "punchy" powers and he wanted to add more variety.
