I liked what I saw in the trailer. All they have to do is follow the cartoon as closely as possible and it will be great.

Highly recommend watching it before this one drops. All three seasons are on Netflix along with the sequel series Korra

Yeah don’t let this be your introduction. The original show is INCREDIBLE. I would much more recommend watching that unbiased rather than watching this first and then watching the original.

They have really stuck with this property. It's like Godzilla. They make shitty movie after shitty movie but it always comes back. This looks way better than past attempts, though. I hope it doesn't require a lot of background knowledge.

I watched it when I was in a show hole a few years ago solely because of his constant praise for it.
I am not an anime guy at all and the show was great.
This looks fantastic and maybe Netflix heeded OMLs advice.
He always said that it had game of thrones style success/spin offs
I’m interested what they do with saaka though. He doesn’t fit the tone of that trailer and who they are marketing to.

Wow, looks like they actually got the ethnicities right and glad the fire benders don't need an external source of fire like in M Night's fricking monstrosity. That fire spin kick was legit.

the fact that One Piece nailed it gives me all the faith in this. I hope they nail the Toph casting because she's definitely my favorite.
