Helping Merlin is dumb.

I think he's using the "helping Malcolm for Thea" as an excuse for his real reason for keeping Malcolm alive. He really can't process the fact that he got owned by Ra's to that extent, and it scared the crap out of him. He now believes that his only chance of getting himself up to Ra's' level is through Malcolm. That was pretty evident in the conversation him and Diggle had while being chained in the dungeon. I think his new found insecurity will drive the next few episode as he contemplates Ra's' offer.

But what were your thoughts on the season 1 and season 2 finales?

Not reading any other posts other than ppl answering mine directly until I'm caught up.

S1 finale definitely better.

Tina Yothers Canary rubs me the wrong way.

Kat Law rubs me the right way.

Hope nobody has an addiction this season bc I'm DONE with that.

Felicity is awesome.

Was. They've damn near ruined her now. Maybe she'll be better on Super Friends or whatever show they're spinning off

I realize Oliver can't really take over for Ra's but when he asked him my first reaction was "yes, take the job". Starling city has enough vigilantes to help and he's got no real love interest right now.
Thea can handle herself, hell she could probably kick Roys arse.

I still love the flashbacks, shows he went all over the place. Waller seems like an uber bitch!

I agree this season is weaker but s better than most stuff on TV.

I figured you'd like her.

A couple of us ranked the women on Arrow, and I had her at #2, well actually 3 because I had Felicity and Shado as 1a & 1b (although I could be had with having Law at #1, she's definitely hot as hell). Those lists may be somewhere in this thread, I can't remember. But I do like her character a lot on the show.

Felicity is fine, her characters evolved into more than the quirky blonde that's just there to spout off computer jibberish and funny innuendos.

There's no way in hell Felicity follows Ray to the new spin-off. She's too ingrained into Team Arrow now. Also fan girls would riot.

And I think that is why they had the Brick storyline while Oliver was getting stabbed through and healing. The fact that they proved they can take care of the city without him will probably weigh on his decision (even though we all know in the end he won't take up Ra's' offer).

I don't care about that. I'm talking about the writers forcing an Ollie/Felicity thing down our throats. Give it up assholes. They have zero chemistry.

agree with that.

Her whole being mad and Oliver bullshite to keep the sexual tension going has gotten old. I hope she moves on to the new show or she returns to old Felicity.

Perhaps he will pretend to take Ra's up on the offer, get training directly from Ra's, and then turn on Ra's later once he is good enough to actually fight him.

It's best she goes off with Ray, because we all know Oliver is destined to end up with Laurel.

I thought the whole disconnect they had at the start of the season after the date was stupid as hell and designed specifically just to keep the will-they-wont-they going.

Her being pissed at him for going to Malcolm for help though is entirely justified. Oliver's compromising all the morals that the team has stood for over the past two seasons by teaming up with Malcolm. Thats like Batman and the Joker teaming up to take down Bain or some shite.

Her being pissed at him going to Malcolm is 100% justified, however, it seems like they keep going back to their bullshite whenever they have an argument, like oliver going to Malcolm for help. It just seems like such a forced element to the overall story

I agree. Oliver is the one that is having a freaking insecurity meltdown, and is making some dumbass decisions. Hell, his pre-Ra's encounter self-pity part about not being able to love anyone because of what he does was stupid (and extremely played out in the superhero world).

ETA: Oliver needs to grow a set at some point in a lot of aspects of his life imo.

I don't know what that means but what I said isn't wrong. They swung and missed on that match up and should've moved on from it long ago.

Time for Oliver to get close to Laurel again.

It's probably still on the web somewhere. It was a spinoff of 24 done as webisodes.

Seriously? How in the hell did I miss that then? I loved 24. I'll have to see if I can find them. Were they pretty good?
