Has this been discussed here before? I'm just now seeing it, and while parts of it are quirky, it's a funny comedy with some great one-liners and messaging about real life experiences.

"Nobody gets through life unscathed. Not you, not me. But then you’re left with a choice. Are you going to let your grief drown you, or are you going face it and come through on the other side?"

"It’s my dead wife’s birthday this week. I’ve been stuck to. I think we both should move forward."

Great 1st season. Should’ve been nominated for more Emmys than it was.

Gave it a shot the day it came out. Creators from Lasso. Great cast Segal, Harrison Ford, etc.

Couldn’t make it through 3 episodes.

My rule with a a show is you get one woke or racist situation etc., after that it’s off.

After episode 3 there were already too many “If I was black I couldn’t...” “I’m white I can do....”

And general box ticking with the lgbt characters etc. just low hanging fruit

Cue the Mark Cuban gif - and for that reason I’m out

Derek is one of the great side characters I’ve seen. The “eat a dick Pam” scene had me in tears.

I really enjoyed it and will probably re-watch it soon. But I like almost everything Bill Lawrence does. Scrubs, Cougar Town and Ted Lasso are some of my favorites. If you don't like Bill Lawrence shows, this probably isn't for you.

Really good show with a strong cast. Hilarious and heart-felt by turns. Would recommend.

Currently my favorite show on TV, great plot, feels genuine, and awesome one-liners.

Derek is also GOAT #eatadickpam

****Spoilers****

Gabby also has some great lines. Whenever Jimmy was trying to be sweet to her after their hookup, he told her thanks for having his back, and she responded thanks for pounding my front lolol

Yeah, he and Harrison Ford as Paul steal the show, though it has great casting across the board.

It's a great show, hilarious and heartfelt as mentioned.

I'm really enjoying this weird midpoint of the culture wars where people virtue signal to announce they're against virtue signaling.

Giving this thread a bump b/c I'm just now getting around to watching this show and really, really enjoying it. I have legit laughed out loud numerous times throughout the show. I wouldn't put it up there in the pantheon of greatest comedies ever, but it's thoroughly watchable and entertaining.
