It's got this guy from Heroes:

and Nicky Whelan who plays his ex wife:

I've only seen the first 2 episodes so far, but it seems like it could be worth sticking it out for a while, especially with the lady above in it.

General idea behind the show...dude is getting ready to leave for work when his doorbell rings and there is a box sitting outside. Inside of the box is a picture of a guy he doesn't know and a gun. He has roughly 48 hours to kill the guy in the picture (who happens to be the guy from The Drew Carey show...office space (2 chicks at the same time neighbor guy)).

Anyway, I was just looking for something new to try out last night and saw this show on Crackle and figured I'd see if anyone else had any thoughts on it. It's already on season 2, so I'm guessing they plan to stick with it for at least a little bit, and it makes me happy to see some of these online channels doing their own stuff (netflix, crackle, hulu etc all putting out original content)

Talk about burying the lead, if the show has Diedrich Bader in it, I might have to check it out. I don't think I've ever not enjoyed something he was in.

the only reason I didn't put his picture up there is because I don't think he's going to end up being a main character in the show. Just my guess since I obviously haven't seen it, but yeah...that's my justification for leaving him out

...or what?

What is the premise of the show (generally speaking)?

I'm such a huge fan of Nicky Whelan. She's so fricking gorgeous.

no clue...at this point it's been thinly veiled threats that the guy is receiving. I'm guessing if "they" (the unknown people pulling the strings and determining targets etc) don't think someone is going to play "the game" that they'll send someone after either their family or them...

Again, I'm only 2 episodes in to the series, so I'm kind of learning on the fly here. The general premise of the show seems to be that Milo's character has been chosen to play a game, where the game seems to be kill targets presented to you or suffer the consequences.

Damn that trailer makes it looks pretty intriguing.

Honest question though, what the hell is Crackle, and is it free?

It's a video streaming service run by Sony I believe, so the content is random stuff from Sony's catalog.

Yes. You can watch at crackle.com and there's also an app for PS3 and probably Roku/AppleTV.

It is completely free...I had never heard of it until I got my Roku. They run 2-3 ad's during programming (movies included) kind of like HULU does, but you don't have to pay for it. They also have movies/tv shows up to watch and switch up their programming like all the other players in that market.

Yep, saw the ad on my ROKU. I'll check it out.

They show a lot more ads than they used to. Its three or four in a row every 15-20 minutes now. Used to be only one.

I've noticed this with Hulu, they'll do 3 ads back to back at least two times a show. Crackle seemed to only be doing 1 15ish second ad every 10 minutes or so, but I just kind of space out while their own, and it's free content, so I won't bitch too much.

Crackle also has an app on the iPhone that is legit (if you have good service/wifi).

May have to check this show out if it's available on there.

ETA: That trailer does look good.

the main issue I have with Crackle is it seems like they really pay no attention to what is happening in a show or a movie when they insert the commercials.

It feels like they just automatically come up at the exact same time in whatever you are watching.

Also, I wish they would run a higher variety of commercials. It gets annoying to see the same damn beer commercial over and over and over. (and over)

yeah I know exactly what you mean...rather than waiting for a scene to kind of fade to black or good transition to take the commercial they just decide, "hmm, well let's just hope they aren't in the middle of a sentence at the 8 minute mark because COMMERCIAL BITCHES"
