Strong first episode. Really dark. Thoughts?

I tried - but I can't watch this type of TV with commercial updates. I'll wait til I can watch on a app or some other format absent commercials.

I watched and enjoyed, very dark and I was surprised at the amount of fricks that were used. Tom Hardy plays crazy really well.

But the amount of commercials was extraordinarily excessive.

Sinister British businessmen of the pre-WWI era is an underrated trope.

I liked it. Hardy plays dark and brooding pretty well. Ridley Scott is an awesome filmmaker so it's a good recipe. I was also surprised at the language they got away with but it wasn't excessive. frick is a word that has its place in conversation. Looking forward to the series for sure.

I wonder if there will be as many commercials/ads on the FX app as there was on tv.

DVR the show and start 30 minutes late. That's what I do so I can FF through the commercials.

I don't have commercial problems.

Oh, it was excellent, IMO. Wife fell asleep and will be watching it again tonight. Looking forward to the rest of the season. I just hope they don't go off the deep end with the weird shite.
