Anyone else think JJ went overboard with the Lens Flairs in Star Trek?

just got out of into darkness

now i can say with honesty that into darkness was amazing, solid action, good acting, alice eve's tittys. whats not to like? hell i dont know anything about star trek and i loved it.

BUT

God Damn JJ cool it with the lens flairs, there were parts of the movie that were completely unwatchable because the screen was literally just a white beam of light. and it made it ten times worse that the 3d glasses would magnify the light distracting you from whats actually happening. I know lens flairs are his thing and all, but dude, chill the frick out.

I only noticed them when the scene was on the bridge.

Also, is is snowing all the fricking time in the 2D like it is in the 3D?

I didn't find it distracting, and I saw it in Imax 3D. Actually I find it distracting if I don't see a lens flare in a JJ Abrams production. Like the later seasons of Fringe

I think you might be the only one who can't see it, which makes it better

And as previously mentioned, the bridge scenes were a little out of control with the flare but that was it.

I can't stand JJ use of lens flair in the 2 Star Trek movies or Super 8. Overboard in all 3 of them.
