Coming of age film based on the best selling book.

Trailer looks pretty solid

Currently at a 74% on RT.

quote:

Adapted from the bestselling novel by author John Green ("The Fault in Our Stars"), PAPER TOWNS is a coming-of-age story centering on Quentin and his enigmatic neighbor Margo, who loved mysteries so much she became one. After taking him on an all-night adventure through their hometown, Margo suddenly disappears--leaving behind cryptic clues for Quentin to decipher. The search leads Quentin and his quick-witted friends on an exhilarating adventure that is equal parts hilarious and moving. Ultimately, to track down Margo, Quentin must find a deeper understanding of true friendship--and true love.

I read the book and thought it was bland generic, without compelling characters. i can't imagine the movie would be an improvement on it.

the prologue reminds me of a short story i wrote in high school. eerily similar.

The trailer made me and the wife both say, "huh that looks pretty interesting". Won't see it at the theaters, but will check it out at some point

It was pretty highly regarded either way though, NYT top 5 bestseller and an Edgar Award.

I love a good coming of age flick ever since Perks.

I was surprised about the edgar award but the NYT bestseller was guaranteed after his last book.

Absolutely not. Looks like your typical hipster "Juno" or "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World" movie. The trailer talks about getting the excitement in life back while showing kids robbing a store. frick that shite

Seriously, who does this bitch think she is? She sounds insane and the dude sounds whipped as hell. Any sane person in the real world would look at the first clue and say "this bitch is crazy" and walk away

Why is Hollywood trying to force this Cara Delevingne chick on everyone? They must think her massive Twitter following will result in bigger ticket sales.

So we're supposed to break into offices, steal from gas stations, break into other people's houses and vandalize it in addition to assaulting them to feel alive? This movie is retarded.

"It's a paper town filled with paper people"

You're 17 years old Margo. You don't know shite about life or what it brings.

Idk I had never heard of her before this. She seems decent.

Wish I would have read the book beforehand but never really got around to it, was on my list.

Isn't the novel one of those "young adult" hackneyed pieces of crap?
