This shite was on last year at this time, but now it looks like they are doing some new show trying to justify last year's show being real. It's hilarious

Did they not open the program with some sort of disclaimer? I thought Discovery was better than this.

I missed the beginning. I assume they did but I still thought discovery would be better than this. It was this exact time of year last year when I saw the other program about this

I don't understand why they don't make it clear that it's sci-fi. They set up this goofy interview with "scientists" to make it appear real and don't even have a disclaimer about it being fake

I forgot! Hope I can stay up for the new one. Last year was hilarious.

Maybe they just assume people are smart enough to know mermaids aren't real?

Just watched all three hours of both shows. The only thing I saw that is remotely close to the Discovery folks admitting this was all fake was at the very end of the "live" show. Said that some situations were fictitious, and also said that the bloop phenomenon is real.

Interesting show, but looks horribly animated, even for the "real" footage.

And as far as the female doctor is concerned, I'd take her to a nice seafood dinner. If you know what I mean.

The bloop thing has been in some books I've read.

The Canadian wants to know how people can keep a straight face while saying this stuff. He also wants me to turn it off

He clearly missed my bad silly syfy movie phase

Really liked how they threw up that the whole kardashian family tweeted about the original mermaids show and Kim then dressed up as one for Halloween. They pull out that pearl like it means something to prove they exist

So they actually had a disclaimer showing it was all fake before the show? Like those guys weren't scientist with NOAA and nothing ever happened in South Africa?

My wife and I watched this but started about 15 minutes in. She was realy into it. I thought the cell video was complete BS.

The only part I was remotely interested in was when they were talking about how we are so much more evolved for swimming than our ape cousins. and that polar bears (assuming they will be around long enough) are trying to go back to the ocean.
