Should be really good tonight with the Civil War, Reconstruction, and Westward expansion with the Transcontinental Railroad.

I haven't caught any of these yet, but I think I'm gonna pick up the DVD when it comes out. I imagine this show has been pretty well done so far?

love this show, but, don't like all the "donald trumps" and others, with their speeches interrupting the flow..

It's good, alot of large pieces of history missing but for a 6 episode series not too bad.

this episode is great.

I have to rank this series just above "Gangland" as my favorite original history channel programming ever.

Have you ever watched Russia: Land of the Tsars?

That and the "Napoleon" miniseries with Gerard DiPardieu, Isabella Rosselini, and John Malkovic are my two favorites of all time.

I'd rank "America: the Story of Us" significantly below those. Also below John Adams and many of the "Founding Fathers" miniseries from History.

Another really epic one was the Churchill docudrama that HBO made a few years back. That was fricking brilliant as well.

agreed. That is if you're from Massachusetts and love revisionist history.

This is the worst part of the show. Who the hell thought it would be a good idea to hire actors and musicians to talk about history throughout the show? I'd rather listen to some qualified historian than fricking Puff Daddy talk about what he knows nothing about.

That, and some of the CGI stuff can be really awful.

This is the fricking USA Today/McNews of documentaries. I give it a B- at best. Probably a C+ or so.
