Just watched this previously unknown (to me) gem - Wake in Fright

The movie had been out of circulation for decades because the negative went missing, sparking an international search. After a ten-year quest veteran Australian producer Anthony Buckley finally tracked it down in mid-2004 in a Pittsburgh warehouse, inside a shipping container marked "For Destruction".

Surprised Netflix has it on Instant watch - what a powerful and unique movie - one of the best finds I've ever had on Netflix Instant.

watched Mile Mile and a Half, a doc about a group through-hiking the John Muir trail. decent enough movie with fantastic scenery.

Sunday we watched Our Idiot Brother with Paul Rudd. Not bad, but then I'm a Paul Rudd fan.

Day of the Siege-- I'm only 10 minutes into it but seems like it'll be pretty intense and good production value too. Its about the 1683 siege of Vienna by the Ottoman.

Seriously people, this might be the best movie on Netflix right now...

I encourage everyone to try it out.

Keep in mind it's the 1970's - but that's what makes it great - it has that raw creepiness...the plot isn't much but it's like a horror movie but the horror is just life...and yet I didn't feel like it was out of place today...it's not dated fluff...it's one of those rare movies that is an experience...you are on the journey with the protagonist...close-up.

It has 100% Rating on Rotten Tomatoes...

i'm not hard to entertain, but i just could not get into this show. Plus it's already cancelled, so not much of an ending

I watched Blue Ruin a few nights ago and it was amazing.

90 minutes, beautiful cinematography and an incredible performance by the lead actor. Brutally violent though.

It's been on my queue for some time, might have to watch it soon now.. I'm still very sad Miami Connection (another Drafthouse release) isn't on Netflix anymore, that was the goat netflix film for a while.. most I've laughed from a film in years

It's incredible and mind blowing that a movie like that was made for under $500K while the studios spend $200M plus on Transformers.
