I love the Michael Connolly books the show is based on, but I've never seen the show.

I'm looking for something new to watch on Amazon Prime.

Anybody have an opinion on the show?

Seen a couple episodes.

They just shove every cop cliche that they can possibly do in an hour.

I watched the first two, they were ok. I liked the books and really like Titus Welliver but thought the writing made the character come off as a real dick. That wasn't how I remember him in the books.

I've listened to the audiobooks, and watched the show. If you're a fan of the books, it's worth a watch. Titus does a real good job of portraying Bosch's personality. The show won't blow you away, but I think it would be worth your time.

Haven't read the books but really enjoyed the season. I've always enjoyed loner cop dramas to provide some perspective

I finished it over a lazy weekend. I thought it was pretty entertaining. Wasn't the best thing I've ever seen or anything, but it 100% kept my interest.

i really liked the connolly novels. TV show was good but I did watch it on a plane, so that distorts how good it is. Its like the hot woman at work, is she hot or is just everyone else ugly?

Anyway, I thought they did a pretty good job on bosch minus three things
* no mustache - this is a seminal part of his appearance, why did they omit it?
* Too thick - bosch is repeatedly noted as small frame, titus is a bit pudgy.
* Afghanastan not vietnam - not as big of a deal, but bosch's tunnel rat background in vietnam plays a huge role in the books. But I get it, you cant have a vietnam vet in a modern role

I will watch season 2.

It's solid. Nothing horribly groundbreaking but it's a pretty good watch if you're looking for something.

If you like the books, you'll enjoy the show. I thought the cast Bosch perfectly. Can't wait for the next season.

Hand of God is the better Amazon show.

Bosch was a decent watch though

It's decent. A little formulaic though. Would be interested to see what they do with a season 2. I love Connolly too, but be cool if they did a series on The Poet storyline.

sidebar: also watch Blood Work with Clint Eastwood or The Lincoln Lawyer with McConaughey if you haven't already.

If you like the books, you'll like the show. Titus Wellington is a great actor for Bosch, but they make him a bit bigger of a dick.

It can get cliche at times, but the camera work is top notch and the story is well written.
