And this is what ticks me off about the "all-female" move in Hollywood right now

Doing some research in one of my classes, I come across a woman named Virginia Hall. She was dubbed by the Gestapo as " ..the most dangerous of all Allied spies" and was pretty much a badass honored by the CIA a few years. Would be absolutely ripe for someone to draw up a solid screenplay and film with quality female casting. Or at the very least give us a quality movie regarding female spies in WWII (who played some significant roles in France).

But nooooooo, I have to have an all-female fricking Ghostbusters remake with some of the unfunniest women on the planet. Or another suffragette movie (sorry Meryl, HBO's Iron Jawed Angels was better).

If you're not interested, don't go.

If enough people don't go, they'll stop making these kinds of movies.

It's really that simple. If you don't like it, start your own movie studio.

I don't.

I can't speak for that Ghostbusters abortion, but I don't think Suffragette even really made much of a showing here.

Yeah, totally that simple with absolutely no ties to the movie industry.

People are stupid, and Hollywood feeds off of it.

Good point. I hope you say the same thing to women and minorities who demand to be included in tech companies, corporate boards and film. They should stop complaining and go start their own companies.

This all woman movement is a cash grab. Bridesmaids + Hunger Games showed Hollywood that women like watching other women in roles that have been previously reserved for men. They are pandering to a market segment. What you're talking about requires work and creative thought, kind of the opposite of the Hollywood business model.

hahahahahahahaha, I am older than 20 so Hollywood doesn't give a shite whether I go or not.

and they make ego-driven artsy shite, that is usually hard left, all the time whether it makes money or not because they are 80%+ left and 3/4ths of the ones who aren't hide because they are scared they won't find work otherwise.

So in other words the OP rather see a movie made about a real woman versus a movie replacing guys with women. Nothing wrong with that.

I tell you what America really needs, since people just love the gender reversal game. It is time for an all male version of Steel Magnolias.

Where do I get my check?

I can't wait until Ghostbusters comes out and it's a critical and commercial hit. Can't wait.

. This isn't really new though. Alien, La Femme Nikita, Star Trek, all driven by strong female leads.

Maybe there's just more shitty movies getting the green light.
