re: American Idol Season XIV-Spoilers May Be Present

I was disappointed in Clark's first song. I thought he might have had a few pitch issues in his lower register or something wasn't right in parts. I agree that it's time for him to interject some personality and be more into the songs. He may have taken a step back this week, but I still like him. I loved his last song and I liked Sitting on the Dock.

Jax really blew her third song. I thought she'd taken over the lead until that one. I think this is why I'm hot and cold on her. She wants to be different, but sometimes, she goes way too far out of the box for me with the strange arrangements and pronunciations. She did a great job on her first two songs.

Rayvon did a good job on all 3 of his songs. Can't say it was standout, but he was steady. Same with Nick. Steady and overall good job.

I really don't understand what AI is doing. In the end, last night's performances didn't matter for the person who was already going home. It felt backwards. As much as I hate the Twitter Save, at least they performed for the save, so it meant something. For Top 4, if they were going to do it that way, then the voting should have occurred last night and there should have been a 30 minute results show tonight. While I prefer not to have two shows a week, I haven't liked the setup this year.

With Quentin gone, it wasn't as interesting as it has been. Jax is the only one who really adds something to her performances. The others pretty much just sing. Jax could take this because she's young and fresh. Clark better start showing some personality if he wants to take this. He's dropping as the favorite. Jax may have the best shot at a break out career of some sort. I almost felt like they were pushing her with having her brother introduce her. I felt some favoritism with that move.
