I can forgive that because I can only imagine how being buried for 100+ years can frick with someone's head a bit. Plus, she found out pretty damned quickly that Jessica's character is quite a bit more powerful than she is (if she has any power at all).

I found that to be a bit disturbing as well. It seems she thinks of herself as a monster (per something she said), but they really didn't flesh (no fat pun intended) her character out enough for that to seem like something she would/should do.
