AMC is cancelling their reality shows in favor of more scripted shows

Thank God. Game of Arms, Small Town Security, 4th and Loud...none of it was good. I'm not a fan of reality shows in the first place, but I could stomach the gfs reality shows over AMC's.
Didn't hate comic book men. Didn't watch it regularly either though.

I actually liked Comic Book Men...it was a good way to let the nerdy/geeky side of me get some attention.

As they should. They have shown they have the ability to make good tv. Those shows were not.

AMC needs to land another big show soon. Mad Men is heading into its last half-season. Adding that to Breaking Bad being over and Walking Dead falling off a bit, they are losing some serious ground. I love AMC. They focus on story and not sex scenes.

Comic Book Men is really good, they should expand it to an hour and really allow the guys to be themselves, less cheesy humor more talk about comics. And hour long will allow for cheesy stuff as well just like pawn stars.

This actually makes me very happy. AMC has some good scripted shows and reality TV is, at least in my opinion, the downfall of network TV. Cable should not be involved in that malarkey. We've already seen what it has done to solid cable networks such as the History and Discovery channels.
