Avatar was on cable this week. As bad as it was in 3D, it is hilariously bad on HD. The Pandorans looked like they'd stepped out of a Gumby cartoon.

I'm surprised Movie Theaters have not gone with a seat pricing model like airplane companies.

Lets be real, movie theaters are on borrowed time with all of the new technology.

Oh goodie. $15 movies will surely encourage that family of 5 to drop $150 with snacks to see the troll movie.

Until we can have 50-100 foot screens and a 20,000 watt sound systems in our living room, people will go and see blockbusters in the movie theater.

People are strapping cell phones to their faces for virtual reality effects, do you think movies are that far behind?

I think they'll always be a place for movie theaters. There will always be people like myself that really enjoy watching films on the big screen. I don't see any technology that would stop me from going. Pricing will have to change thou, it's incredible how expensive it can be to take your whole family.

I never really thought about it, but the prevalence of AMC theaters in the Houston city limits may have had something to do with me losing interest in going to the theaters 10 or 15 years ago. The AMC I grew up going to got so bad that it finally shut down with no replacement. If you've ever been to the Dunvale AMC, it's much more preferable to watch movies at home or online.

Face it, your favorite director/producer/actor is very likely a pedophile, drug addict, and/or has sex with trafficked human beings. Deal with it.

So you're saying more than 50% of directors/actors are somehow involved in human sex trafficking?

I know it exists, but that seems too high.

Everyone always says that, until new technology comes and it's cheaper than the nostalgic stuff.
