Yep, where I used to work we had a storage/junk yard for ragedy cars and some unpaid bills.
One of the cars was about a 93 Hynduai Elantra and it had a bush growing through the left rear wheel. It had not been touched in 2 years and 8 months. It cranked right up.

Biggest question for me is why are most of them not having sex?

Several women Rick could have chosen in the prison after they Governor's people moved in.

While I appreciate the time you took to answer and the thought behind each carefully worded response, I think you need to check the batteries in your sarcasm meter.

Z Nation is a guilty pleasure of mine. I'm shocked we don't have an official thread on it. It's one of those shows that is so bad its good.

When I was young my dad would charge his big tractors battery with a stationary bike. So there are easy ways to charge a battery without a power grid.

Absolutely not.

A car battery will go dead after just a few weeks of sitting idle.

The key is to get the zombies to push your car for you. If you can get a big enough group to chase you, and you can dive into the driver's seat in time, the force of the zombie mob against the back of the car will be enough to get you going.

It seems like they could harness this technology to create a sustainable energy source.

Not possible. Rick would have died in the hospital from starvation.

This may help explain

My truck had engine problems. Battery dead in 4 months. Not even power locks worked.

Also, where are the cows and animals. They should be running everywhere. Maybe they are eating the grass.

Why does Superman's cape flap when he is flying through space where there is no air to make it do so?

This is one of the biggest flaws I see. A dog would be invaluable as a sentry, although it'd probably be hard to keep them from dying as there isn't a good way for them to effectively combat a walker without putting themselves at serious risk.
