I liked this one ok. I recall hearing critics at the time complain that it was "pointless", which to me is the lamest critique possible. Any fiction movie is pointless, except to entertain and make money.

This. My personal opinion is that the movie was 15-20 years ahead of its time. The world just wasn't ready for a tongue-in-cheek meta comedy where it's primary star makes fun of himself for 90 minutes. It was seen as arrogant and vain in 1993. Today, people would see that kind of film as an example of the actor's humility and ability to laugh at himself.

I used to have a ton of these.

Oh, The Last Dragon. All the Rambo movies after First Blood. All of Chuck Norris' cheesy Vietnam film (more a matter of being a captive audience. They were my dad's favorite and I didn't really have a choice).
