To each their own and everyone has preferences but I'll never understand that line of thinking about a franchise.

The prequels sucked and we all pretty much agree there's little redeeming qualities. In no way does that take away my love for the original trilogy or view of Darth Vader as one of the baddest MFers of all time.

With the sequel trilogy and spinoffs we seem to be heading in the right direction too. It's cool to dig a little deeper in that universe imo. So many stories to be told.

You think the books are universally terrible? GTFO. There are so many great SW books it's not even funny.
