I saw literally zero good things about Warcraft. The cgi is terrible, I don't know or care what's happening. I know nothing about any of the characters. It's a video game movie trying to appeal to the masses while pandering to the gamers, and it will fail spectacularly.
I saw some positives in Batman v Superman. It looks too busy and cramped but the cast is amazing at least. It COULD work. Warcraft positively won't.

I agree with you.
Something I'm particularly perplexed about is why they're releasing Kung Fu Panda 3 in the middle of January. When has a movie of that franchise's caliber ever been released in January? It's shite month and people don't go to the movies aside from to see good movies in December again. That's just a sign to me that the film must be absolute garbage if they think that's a good idea.

The trailers I saw all looked good and Warcraft on the big screen looks like at the very least, it will be interesting. I wish they'd done the Arthas storyline but whatever.

Outside of TFA, it will have no competition at the box office. Studios are getting smarter about spreading out their movies rather than huddling them all up in a 10-12 week span where a bunch of $200 million productions are vying for dollars.
Besides the Lego Movie opened in February 2014 and grossed over $250 million domestically ($450ish million worldwide). The Spongebob movie this year was released this past February and did 160/320.
It's production budget was around $120 million and let's say it has a $80 million marketing budget. Each of its predecessors made over $600 million worldwide, but let's say this one only generates $500 million at the box office. Studios always get at least half of the box office cut, so that's $250 million against a $200 million investment. Not great, but then you also have to consider that it will do great with marketing partnerships (that adds in at least another $50 million), a video game or two (let's say $20 million or so), and then all of the other merchandise they will sell (Lowballing this I'll say they get $100 million in pure profit from merchandise). So a $50 million profit at the box office, but another $175 million or so from ancillary revenue sources.
So in short, money is why. Outside of the first 3 shreks and megamind, dreamworks isn't exactly known for the quality story of its movies anyways.

Is someone forcing you to watch them?
There's a couple hundred million people that aren't tired of them.

Yep, I really want to like this movie too.

He is still allowed to criticize them.

I have actually thought of another reason why they're doing it, and it's actually pretty brilliant when you think about it: Chinese New Year. That's their equivalent of Christmas. The Chinese love Kung Fu Panda, and Christmas movies do well here, so why not try it in China? That actually makes a lot of sense and may work.

The only thing saving MCU is the way they continue to change it up and add new characters. Ant Man was really good. The more and more they add though makes me wonder how it will all come together for Infinity Wars. Might be too much to handle.
DC is going to be a disaster.
Star Wars might have come around at the right time, a lot of superhero fatigue.

I hope they don't have an extended cut of it during the movie. I initially thought it was funny, but by the end of the trailer I was like yeah, that steam has run out.
