The Mayan Calendar is better than the one we use today and not only does there calendar foretell of the world event in 12/2012, but the I ching of China.
Also the Mayans are still around they abandon their cities and moved to the back woods (jungle) and are all over central America.
The movie looks bad, and not near on the level of the better world ending movies.
Hollywood has made world ending movies event in the silent era, the better ones are like World of the Worlds.

Personally, this looks like the best drinking movie since the Day after Tomorrow.
