Just finished ep1. It’s got great potential. I don’t wanna say anything about it since it just premiered.

Megastar cameo in the beginning of ep2

Faith hill is not the one that y’all are going to be interested in. FYI.

But really it’s pretty damn good. Sam Elliot is typical Sam Elliot. Legendary. Should be another damn good Sheridan series.

Even though she plays the wife of James, she doesn’t have a major role (so far).

The first two episodes are pretty damn good.

Some nice cameos, Tom Hanks, Billy Bob Thorton.

How necessary is it to work through seasons 3 and 4 of Yellowstone before watching? Is it pretty independent from the main series (so long as you recognize some principle names)?

Trying to decide when I want to start the Paramount scrip to watch this and the Sooth Park mini movies

Not needed at all. The first two episodes haven’t even mentioned Montana yet.

None what so ever. This is a “Western”. Sort of a modern “Wagon Train”

Do you think it’ll be better than Yellowstone or is it still too early to tell?

It’s apples and oranges.

This is a western, and Yellowstone is a modern day “Dallas”.

Both are great shows, both are a little fast paced, but imo, 1883 maybe a better show.

Kinda hard to tell so far.

Lots of unanswered questions about where they came from or why they had to leave.

I think they left for two reasons. One, for the opportunity to start a new life, settle new ground and two, for James to escape his haunting past.

Mississippi was mentioned for something, didn’t catch exactly what they were talking about. Obviously they are from the South, because he fought for the South in the Civil War.

They’re from Tennessee according to Elsa’s conversation with the guy in the front of the train.

Is that Faith Hill’s real sister?

If not, good job of casting. She really could be her bitchier older sister.

And it was one hell of a cameo.

Hell of a first 2 episodes.
The production level of this show seems really high.
Everyone must want a piece of the Taylor Sheridan train.

It’s a prequel so no need to have any Yellowstone completed.
