Zona the most overrated Basketball school

They act like they are a dominant team, and a basketball powerhouse but have only won one National Championship back in 1997, and choke every single year. But if you live here in Tucson you would think that this is the center of the College Basketball universe.

Sean miller had some really good teams as well, surprised he didn't make the final 4, but they got knocked out in the elite 8 twice in a row by Wisconsin.

Well they did make the tournament for 1,000 straight years...And have been to 4 Final Fours and a hundred Sweet Sixteens...and they won 1. I think you're talking about Gonzaga.

So true. It was such an epic win in 1997 that I think nostalgia is kicking in every year when I fill out a bracket.

Yes. Always a high seed. And more importantly perception for some reason is always too high.

Only Duke, Kansas, UNC, and Kentucky have been a #1 seed more times. Arizona has been a #2 seed like nine times as well. That's pretty lofty success.
However, one national championship and four Final Fours doesn't really stack up against other major basketball programs.
It's like they're properly rated from November to February, but overrated in March.
