I'm cutting them off in the AM.

Well at least now there is no chance anyone on the MSB can slip and fall and accidentally turn on First Take anymore.

i for one applaud youtubeTV for distancing itself from the liberal filth and i expect to see their subscription numbers rise as the silent majority recognizes this great act

Espn likely trying to overcharge for their shitty content. Outside a handful of college games their content is garbage. MNF broadcast is a shell of its former self and the matchups are some of the worst out there.

It’s not just ESPN. It’s all ABC channels including the Disney ones. People are going to wake up tomorrow and flip their shite. YTTV about to take this one on the nose.

No doubt. But Disney knows they have these cable/streaming service providers by the balls.
They offer leagues and conferences those ridiculous broadcast rights because they know they can monopolize the market, and just raise subscription fees later. If the providers don't play ball with them, they'll lose customers.

If you were paying money for youtube just to watch games, then you've been throwing your money away anyway. Plenty of other ways to stream games online completely for free.

Well considering all of the 1/1 bowls, LSU's bowl and the CFP are all on Disney channels it is significant for most people. I think there are only 2-3 bowls not on a Disney owned channel.
Plus if your interests include lots of minor sports ESPN is also a big loss.

Damn, all this time I have been paying for steak when I could have just stolen it and not thrown my money away.

More like you paid for the steak beforehand and then when you went to put your fork into it had it pulled from under you and left with the bill anyway that you pay for some moral high ground. While the rest of us actually eat the steak. But you blame the ones that eat the steak rather than the ones that pulled your steak away that you paid for.
Enjoy.

Your descent into moral relativism doesn't even work here. Even if you are paying YTTV for the channels your beef is with them not Disney in terms of money. It is like paying a 3rd party shopping service to go to Whole Foods and buy and deliver steak to you but when they don't you feel justified in going to Whole Foods and stealing the steak the service didn't deliver. If you feel comfortable stealing stuff enjoy your steak. Just like shoplifting, other people are paying for your meal.

First off, I pay for Hulu, Netflix, and Amazon Prime. It's not like I'm some off the wall pirate that streams everything for free. The only thing I stream for free is sports games. Which if there was a way to do that for a reasonable price then I would, but I'm not paying an extra $45/mo for it like hulu wants (thats what it used to be, might be different now)
I assume you paid for YouTube for more than just that right? Their shows and no ads? So keep paying for it if you want, just don't whine when they yank stuff from under you and keep charging you.
And for what it's worth, if I steal a steak from the supermarket, that subtracts a steak that a paying customer could have and enough theft could render the market unable to sell steaks at all. Me finding a free stream doesn't somehow give a paying customer on another service less opportunities to watch, so not an apples to apples comparison.
But by all means keep throwing your money away every month and let them remove what you're able to do if it makes you feel better

To be fair, YouTube TV is basically like cable, so no one expects no ads.
And as shown in this thread, they are reducing the monthly subscription fee by $15. They realize this is a big deal that will likely cost them customers.

What's the subscription fee on youtube? Because for Hulu, the sports upgrade is $45 last I checked. Don't know what youtube's is. Really hope they didn't bait people into paying high prices, especially if they only did it for sports, only to "lower" prices without sports to an outrageous fee simply for no ads and their youtube red shows.
I get a pop-up anytime I'm on youtube asking for a trial run and no matter how many times I click no it always keeps coming back. I don't trust them I know they just want peoples money any way they can get it and have no shame.
ETA: And obviously streaming sports is basically cable, by "no ads" I mean no interruption of the stream. Like those 15 second ads that play when you play any youtube video (ad blocker and all, but still). I'm not talking about the commercials you see when watching a game That's one of the perks that youtube premium tells you that you'll have but like...adblocker anyone? And that's not just for youtube that's for any website.

I pay $65 for base, plus $11 for the sports package, which is worth it for all the football and soccer I watch.
To be honest, base was $49.99 before they added Viacom channels (MTV, Nickelodeon, etc), and I almost dropped it because of that, yet the sports package is still worth it for me.
I don't know what you're referring to as far as "no ads" or "red shows".

That just for youtube? $65 base? And you don't even know what youtube red shows are or no ads means? Jesus. Fool and his money are easily parted...
