Wait, so Innis is replacing Charlie, and getting his audience?
Talk about square peg and round hole!! 610 is rejoicing at this news. I'm sure Charlie is just done, and happy to work as an exec in the background, but what an awful HR decision. Several of the other on air personalities have absolutely dogged Innis when he was on the competing station.

Houston sports talk radio is 2nd fiddle to 1310 The Ticket in DFW.
Of course we have more to talk about since our Baseball team won the division and the Cowboys are 3-1.

Charlie was and has been for a long time the best host on Sports Radio in Houston

I would switch back and forth from Sean to Charlie. As ridiculous as Charlie's callers were, he knows his shite, and there was very little sunshine pumping coming from him. That won't happen anymore.
ETA: For everyone asking about Charlie, I'm pretty sure he owns a piece of 790 from way back when he helped get it operational. He's probably just decided to do other duties. Though I have no way of knowing for sure. ETA2: Looks like i may be wrong
