Personally, I think it's because he got hit in the face a couple of years ago.

Dude has his heels on the chalk. He probably thinks his length will make up for it, but he's wrong.

He's basically a hot mess.

Bad trade, enjoy Miller. He will be a very good pitcher.

He's always stood far away from the plate.

I realize that, but his unwillingness to step in and cover the plate is obvious.

He really is hot garbage.

He'll be lucky to be playing when Jon Jay gets back, and that's saying a ton.

These threads are always funny.

15 minutes later he hits game tying bomb in bottom of the 9th.

He still sucks.

However, if it takes a thread like this for him to prove me wrong, then prep tMSB for the JHey sucks threads.

Go watch some film from previous seasons, not only did he bat from the on deck circle, his hands were so busy it looked like he was playing the violin. At least St Louis has that part cleaned up, but he is pretty stubborn

He really is his own worst enemy.

If he would just change his stance things would be so much easier for him.

He needs to listen to Chipper which he has never done.

I seriously hope Chipper will kill every animal he wants to kill this offseason and come back as either Skipper or Hitting Coach. Which ever he wants.

I said I hope. Not I think. Big difference. I hope he gets bored. He is at the Ted a lot.

Be patient. He's an excellent fielder, an above average hitter, and has a great career WAR. You'll be throwing him a 150+ million plus extension soon.

Oh, and Shelby Miller is dog doo. Braves got ripped off.

Am I doing this right?

How many fricking injuries are the Cards going to have to overcome this year anyway?

I get sucked in by Heyward because he just looks like he should be able to play. Then you watch him bat...

it always looks like he's standing 2 feet away from the plate and swinging a 30 inch bat and then he gets pitched middle-away and can't make contact

I mean he is what he is. He stays off the plate because he can't get around on a good inside fastball.

He will hit around .260 by the end of the year with 10-15 bombs, a .330-.350 OBP, and 15-20 SBs with great defense.

That's a decent player, but it is frustrating considering what he was hyped to be.

I think sabertards highly overrate him based on his defense alone. He's going to want to command a 20-25 mil+ per year salary and I just don't think an injury prone .260 hitter with 15 HRs is worth that no matter how good the defense is.

Why people keep trying to paint him as some 30/30 HR/SB potential guy is beyond me. HE is not that guy.

I've been saying this ever since he came up and people have gotten PISSED. It's 100% true.
