Randle El was a freak too but his teams weren't any good. He'd be on a top athlete list.

If you can't acknowledge that Reggie Bush is one of the greatest college football players of all time, there's seriously no helping you.
really>????? He is not in my top 5 for a reason. Was he REAL GOOD in college??? YES. But can't hold a candle to my top 5...............

Are you serious? Cam Newton? You can put Cam on San Diego State and they are playing in a BCS Bowl.

If Newton would have played for Miss St instead of Auburn, they probably win a national title.

I'm not saying Reggie Bush wasn't one of the best to ever play. I'm just saying if someone was to make a legit list they would probably leave him off due to the scandal.. Similar to Pete Rose and other all time greats who get the shaft b\c of shady incidences.

Cam > Tebow even though Tebow obviously had a better career

I did NOT leave him off the list because of the scandal. I left him off because he had the benefit of having SOOO many great players around him.........

In that case, you should leave Tebow off and put Newton on. Oh wait, never mind. Tim Tebow had NO talent around him

Cam = ONE YEAR. with a shitload of close calls.
TIM = 4 years and part of two NC'S and a GREAT GREAT teammate.. Cam was great. BUT......

Cam literally carried his team every single week.
Tebow had one of the greatest defenses in 08 back him up for a National title, and still couldn't go undefeated.
Cam had a lot of CLOSE calls, but got it done. Tebow did too, but his title had a blemish with 1 loss.

Their comeback performance in the Iron Bowl was one of the best I had ever seen.
ETA: Talking about Cam.

Yep. Everytime I feel down on myself for the 2012 LSU/Alabama game..I just tell myself "At least I didn't have to go through that".
