there is more pressure on pitchers in late game situations than there is on hitters, especially in close games... especially in playoff games...

I don't see how that doesnt make any sense, but whatever

Reynolds & Hardy do.

Ichiro is fast.

Great outing by Chen. Probably left in for 2-3 batters too long, but he gave you everything he had. Up to the pen now, but he gave the team a chance to win. That's all you can ask.

I'm ready to straight up murder Hardy. What a miserable game he's having. I'd rather have Cal come down from the booth and play short. How much can one guy screw up in one game?

Why life O'Day if you're gonna intentionally walk Cano? Now you have a lefty pitching to a righty.

I'd rather have had O'Day in there for the obvious reason that HE IS YOUR BEST RELIEVER. Move worked out, but if you're gonna lose the platoon advantage might as well go with the player matchup you prefer.

Matusz has been sick out the pen. As a RP hitters have an OPS of .352 against him this year. That should be his role going forward since he has totally failed as a starter.

I hope so. But he faced only 48 batters as a reliever in 18 appearances. I'm not making any conclusions about his re-found form on what would be a two-game span as a starter.
