Same margin of victory, but more offense and less defense?
Or was the die already cast no matter what when Alabama won?

Doubt it. The narrative has been set in motion for a couple weeks now for them to be left out in this scenario

Without Travis, it was over. That found a way to let Bama in.

No. CFP mafia told them with a backup QB they weren’t getting in no matter what they did against Liville.

Would FSU be in if Louisville beat Kentucky and still top10?

I agree. Them limping down the stretch and struggling to beat Louisville just made it easier for the CFP committee to justify leaving them out.

My take on this is that having FSU and Texas both in the CFP for the first time is a bigger draw than putting fricking Bama back in for the umpteenth time. I can't speak for FSU fans, but EVERY Texas fan I know is trying to get tickets to the Sugar Bowl. Half of Austin is going to that game.

You serious, Clark?

Michigan has a boring, crappy offense, but no one is crapping on the Wolverines.

The committee wanted a SEC team in the playoff. UGA shite the bed, so they had to do something to appease their overlords in B'ham.

According to the CFP, the ACC Title game did not matter

No only if backup QB was a stud! No way are they one of best 4 teams with that QB! Not even top 10! So committee did the right thing

They could've just dropped UGA to #4 and still had an SEC team in the playoff, but somebody wanted Bama in the playoff.

Unfortunately, it’s possible. The reason CBS is quoting from the committee is BS and doesn’t make sense. They could have named any number of valid reasons; not a strong enough schedule; too many really close games against weaker teams; or even we think Bama is the better team due to the historical performance in big games and team improvement throughout the season, etc. But this is just a finger in FSUs eye. I’m not an FSU fan either.

Alabama and Texas were both in unless they lost yesterday. FSU QB injury was the easy narrative to push another team out. If Travis had been healthy, we would have seen the media piling on Washington and they would have been 5th. Big money prevails in CFB, always.

They played zero acc schools during the regular season that had 3 losses or less

When your conference only has two teams with 3 losses or less, being conference champ of that division is not a flex.

I’ve never seen a fan base so bent out of shape over another CFB team not making the playoffs.
