got showed up by a much better player

Showed up? Tf are you talking about? He's got a broken hip, he wasn't going 1st overall. He also threw for 400+ yards and 4 touchdowns in that head to head. Last year's head to head wasn't close.

I also find it ironic that you're responding to a string of posts making fun of the fact that there can only be good and bad on the MSB, not two goods...then you go on to point the finger at bama fans while putting down an elite quarterback

The throw that Joe made on the run in the SEC Championship game really convinced me he should be the #1 overall pick.

The parallels of Burrow and Klingler are glaring.

Both will be record breaking QB's drafted by the Bengals. Good luck Joe!

That would be awesome. Tua taking over in New Orleans or New England. The excuses made for burrow would make the Henry vs Fournette debate look like child's play. We'd get a decade of melts on this board, it would be quite the gift. The gump QB bringing home MVP's while Burrow's career trajectory follows that of Andy Dalton.

Be careful what you wish for, sport

Where was this production in 2018? He went from a thoroughly mediocre season that was actually worse than his predecessor to Heisman. What changed?
2018:

1) Burrow only had fall camp to learn the playbook and develop chemistry with the receivers.

2) Lot of injuries to the oline in the early part of that year.

3) Offensive system had a ton of max protect, 2 receivers running routes.

2019:

All of those problems were no longer problems. In fact those problems were in the process of being corrected toward the end of 2018. And Joe's performance then vs earlier in the year reflects that.

That’s a lot of words to say “the system changed”.
