uga vs. bama and falcons vs. niners happened a few weeks apart in 2012-2013 and they both ended at the 5ish yard line. i didn't do anything physically ridiculous for either of those but that was a serious internal melt session that has still not healed.

We also had the weekend earlier that year where Friday night I went to the "infield fly" Braves-Cards wild card game following by driving to Columbia for that arse beating the next day. Then going to the Dome for SECCG and unfortunately not going to the NFCCG but watching on TV

The only difference between 11/5 and 1/9 is that our field goal kickers made the field goals the second time around. The games were remarkably similar.

I don't really "melt". I just like shut down. I don't want to talk about it, I don't wanna watch any post game or high lights, and if it's really bad or season ending, I usually don't watch sports TV for a while

The 1/9/12 to Saints-49ers double header with the 11/3/12 game in Tiger Stadium to top it off literally made me shut down. The worst internal melt probably though was the loss at Ole Miss in 2013 cause I just haven't felt the same about LSU football since.

Easily... ULM beating Arkansas in Little Rock. I still believe Paul Petrino set back Brandon Allen's development 2 yrs by his play calling and confidence crushing.

When the Rangers choked in game six of the World Series in 2011.

I was at a Casey Donahew concert (back when he was still worth a shite) and he stopped the concert both times to count strikes.

After we fricking choked I just decided to get as hammered as possible and achieved that. Eventually ended up getting thrown out of the bar. I don't remember much, but my friends told me I was talking to everyone there and started crying about the game.

Believe it or not it was Alabama's pretty meaningless game against Arkansas in our meaningless 2006 season.

Our kicker missed a game winning FG at the very end of regulation. Then he missed a game winning FG in the first overtime. Then he missed the trying extra point in the 2nd overtime to end the game.

Watching a kicker completely melt down like that and cost his team the game 3 times in the span of about 20 minutes of real time was too much to handle.

I had a place to be immediately after the game, was running late thanks to the OT. Got in the car with my girlfriend after the game and spent the entire drive going about 100 mph and screaming at the top of my lungs as she cowered in the front seat and begged me to calm down.

The year we beat Texas in Texas when they had Roy Williams.

Then got our asses kicked the very next week to auburn. I was done. I was a Adrian Peterson fan and they were beating the shite out of everyone so dammit I was now an OU fan frick nutt.

TBH, this is true.

To OP's question:

Every loss involves lots of internal melt. Every Bama loss since '08 pretty much has the same reaction from me: loss of mind.

This was pretty much how I acted at the end of Michigan/Michigan State last year.

Bama fans act like the fg misses on 11/5 were all chip shots.

That's a classic melt. Pretty intense when your S/O is cowering in fear because you're melting so hard.

Ah, the Leigh Tiffen game, watched with my roommates one of which was a Bama native and fan... He almost threw himself off the balcony after the extra point miss while the rest of us were screaming with joy.

Well, when you're up 14 at the half and your starting QB is knocked out of the game and you have a completely untested redshirt freshman in there, the smart thing to do is to just keep passing the ball.

Every Razorback fan anywhere knows the name Leigh Tiffin. Of course, kudos to him for not letting it destroy his career, because most freshmen would just be done after something like that.

I remember watching him be lights out during Bama's undefeated 2009 season and thinking that I couldn't believe this is the same kid who completely melted down against us as a freshman.
