I have plenty to choose from, but I will say a 63-10 home loss to ULM was rock bottom. That was loss #14 in a 15-game losing streak from 2011-12, and I remember seriously questioning if we should kill the program. I drank enough dome beers to kill an elephant on that day.

What says you MSB? What's the toughest loss you've suffered through as a fan?

Funnily enough, also ULM. In 2012

I threw my hog polo shirt I was wearing in the corner of my living room as hard as I could and it sat there until John L Smith was no longer the coach of the Razorbacks in November.

I don't really "melt". I just like shut down. I don't want to talk about it, I don't wanna watch any post game or high lights, and if it's really bad or season ending, I usually don't watch sports TV for a while

All while in my head I'm just disecting every play from the game and what went wrong. Eventually once I've recovered someone will ask me about it and I'll pour out like 2 hours of analysis of the game and they'll look confused as I'll bring up a 2nd down run in the 3rd QB as evidence as to why something happened

Immaturely speaking? LSU vs Kentucky football 2007.

Internally? Tie between 1/9/12 and WCF Game 6 OKC vs GS.

Honorable mention: 1996 World Series

1/9/12 is a great choice. That one game basically devoured the soul of tiger nation. In hindsight, if pussy arse Oklahoma state could have taken care of business, I believe LSU goes in dry.

I melted harder after the 2011 Texas loss than I'd like to admit.

It still haunts me to think Okie lite missing a FG on a Thursday night in Ames, Iowa by about a foot likely cost LSU from arguably the greatest season in modern history when you consider all the strong programs they dominated.

Even worse; LSU nor Les has been even close to the same since. Sports are a fickle, cold, heartless bitch.

SC - 06 Rose Bowl, still bothers me to this day.
Raiders - Tuck rule. Dumbest rule ever created.
Dodgers - The 90's gave Dodger fans a lot of heartbreak. 96 & 97 in particular, those teams were so loaded but they fell apart towards the end of the year.

LSU Arkansas 2007

But that feeling was forgotten quickly

I didn't really melt much after 1/9. Sports were dead to me before the game ended.

uga vs. bama and falcons vs. niners happened a few weeks apart in 2012-2013 and they both ended at the 5ish yard line. i didn't do anything physically ridiculous for either of those but that was a serious internal melt session that has still not healed.

kansas basketball has provided some solid melts from me because it hurts much, much worse to lose as a favorite, and they always are.

Three way tie between game 4 of the 2008 NLCS, game 4 of the 2008 NBA Finals, and game 6 of that same NBA final

Those 3 happening together made me change how I view sport losses

LSU played twice as hard of a schedule as Bama did (Oregon, @WVU, Georgia in SECCG). And those LSU/UA teams could have played each other 10 times and it would have probably been a 50/50 split.

The loss to Stanford in 2012. I believe that was the best Oregon team. They'd beat the 2014 team by 14 at least IMO.

When Hogan in his first start played as well as he did, and the dumb TD in the back of the endzone by Toiololo (Sp), that season was over. I don't remember much from that game other than that TD.

I didn't "melt" I more like shutdown. We were set to play Kansas State in the title game (who knew they'd lose right after us ) if we took care of business. After that game, I halfheartedly cheared on the team the rest of the way. The KSU game though I was hyped for. Then 2013 happened and it seemed like Chip leaving meant the program was going to fall from the top.

For NFL, the Broncos loss to the Ravens in the playoffs I believe that same year also hurt. Champ Bailey (my favorite player of all time) got roasted on multiple occasions then Rahim Moore blowing his coverage twice IIRC. Then the Manning pick

As for the Blazers, I haven't suffered anything terrible. I'm too young to know what losing to the Lakers in '00 felt like. I'd guess Game 4 against the Mavs and losing Wesley Mathews for the season two years ago to injury. That game 4 you saw the GREATNESS of Brandon Roy. Even with his old man knees, he took came through in the clutch. He had like 20+ points in the 2nd half. Amazing. That would be his last Hoorah and we all knew it.

The 2015 Blazers In my homer opinion was in the same category as the Warriors, Cavs, and Spurs after the trade for AA at the deadline. It felt like it was our turn to finally make a deep playoff run. Then Wesley goes down. For the season. There was still "hope" but so does an 8 seed have hope. I knew it was the end of an "era".

ETA: Alejandro Maldonado is a name I will remember for the rest of my life!!! Also the TE was Zach Ertz who made the TD grab.
