The D'backs are going with Josh Collmenter tomorrow and the mets with a 41 year old Bartolo Colon. Who are some of the worst opening day starters you can remember?

Worst Opening Day tomorrow:

Josh Collmenter
Clay Buchholz
Kyle Kendrick
Bartolo Colon

However, the Mets have a very good staff still. Harvey should be the guy getting the ball. deGrom is very good and Wheeler had TJ.

Reds ran Joey Hamilton and Jimmy Haynes out there in back to back years in the early 2000's.

Dude was coming off a season of 200 innings and a 3.62 ERA, not the worst imo

Depends what Clay Buchholz goes out there, bad Clay is one of the worst starters in baseball where good Clay is one of the best.

He is the most inconsistent player I have ever seen.

He is probably one of the bottom options regardless. Even good Clay would only be average this group going out there tomorrow. There are like a dozen super stud aces.

I think Wade Miley is your best pitcher.

Derek Lowe in 2011 for the braves is pretty awful. Not sure about all time bad or anything but he sucked

I'm still a fan of Porcello and I think Detroit was dumb to trade him

I guess we were posting this at the same time. Hough has to be top 5 worst of all time.

I remember Jimmy Freaking Haynes opening up GABP by getting beat like 12-3 by the Pirates. Those were bad years.
