I work with a few Wyoming alumni down here in Denver and they regularly complain about the sad state of Wyoming football. Wyoming is currently down 28-14 at halftime to New Mexico and they have already lost to the University of North Dakota (not NDSU), Eastern Michigan, and Washington State. Poor Craig Bohl, he went from coaching an FCS powerhouse to coaching, in my opinion, the worst FBS team.

Do any of you have any other nominations for worst FBS team?

I would throw UCF in there, but they have at least lost to "more respectable" teams.

Do they think Craig Bohl will get that program turned around?

I know he is trying to convert them from a spread team under Christienson to a power run team, but they are just bad

WYO is the least populated state in the country, so their recruiting task has to be pretty daunting. That said, I would spend four years in Laramie and never look back.

Idaho is really bad as well. Their 1 win was by 3 over Wofford.

Wyoming and Laramie are really nice. I wouldn't mind retiring there

You might want to put SMU on your short list. The defense is Indiana of last year bad. They can't cover anyone. I'd be surprised if they beat JMU tonight.

Laramie can be a good home field advantage. Highest elevation in college football.

Don't you think that has more to do with the fact that they have played perhaps the top 2 offenses in the country?

No they're just bad on defense. It will take two years to fix. Not as bad as last year though.

I agree, it is brutal.

I cannot wait until Edsall is gone.

Yet, somehow, ASU will find a way to lose to them.

Graham would decide to blitz a 5 wide set to lose would be my guess if it happened.

I've never been but I looked at pictures and the place looks miserable. The downtown looks like a ghost town and the landscape doesn't look nearly as cool as many of those north central cities.

Which is weird. Their head coach Dan McCarney had a pretty solid run at Iowa State with Seneca Wallace, Sage Rosenfels, and Troy Davis. I thought he could do well in Texas.

ETA - Ok not as good as I remember, but the year they went 9-3, I believe ISU was in the top 10 at one point.
