re: Wojnarowski: Houston Rockets join Bulls atop Carmelo Anthony’s wish list

I wasn't comparing them as players. I was comparing the fact that both KD and Westbrook score a lot of points and they are both ball-dominant players.
It was in response to someone who said it won't work because both Harden and Anthony are ball-dominant players.

Melo actually seems to play well with other star players although the only time that's really happened has been during the Olympics. I'd be interested in seeing him play the 4 in this lineup. People hate Melo as much as they hate Dwight so expect people to act like Houston would suck, but around the league I think that trio would get much more respect. I think Melo just wants to win and would make adjustments with good teammates.
Personally though I think Chicago is a perfect fit for him.

I am praying to God you guys get Melo. One less team to worry about in the West if so.

No need for me to argue this dumb shite now...there's a very small chance it happens but any fan of a good team that wouldn't want to add Melo just doesn't understand basketball. People just two years ago were claiming that Harden should have been running point for OKC and now all of a sudden he is an unwilling passer? Lol. I hope this happens but it won't. Just something to get people talking.

So if I don't want Melo on my team, I don't understand basketball?
Fantastic.
Fantastic.

It depends. If you had to gut your team, that's obvious but if you could keep your core players and still add Anthony, you think he would make your team worse? Because yeah, that's retarded. The fact that you said Houston wouldn't be a threat with shows that you are talking out of your arse.

Melo on the Thunder right now, would absolutely, zero doubt about it, make them worse. Potentially significantly worse. Either Westbrook, Durant, or Melo would have to greatly alter their game if they all wore the same uniform. No thanks.

Eh, I don't want him anywhere near my Spurs, tbh.

Yeah I think Melo could alter his game. He is actually pretty damn good at the 4. He's not a perfect fit though considering he and Durant are similar players (Durant being better obviously).
Houston is IMO a pretty good match. Harden is a willing passer. I think people forget that he averages like 5 assists a game and has played well with Westbrook and Durant. Dwight is more of a clean up guy. There would be plenty of shots to go around. He's ready to win at this point and I think they'd make it work. I just don't see how it happens. Chicago, IMO is where he will end up and they will be an instant contender with or without Rose.

Would not fit in Houston. Simple as that.

I'll take him on the Cs

He'd work in Boston
He would kill our offensive philosophy in SAtown, though.

If Thibs can get him to play D, Melo, Noah, and Boozer would be a hellacious 3-5 to try to score on on the paint. Yikes.

they would have literally no depth if melo signs for what he's worth
Posted on 3/18/14 at 11:06 pm to quail man
meh Morey would go a few more Pat Beverlys in Europe or another Parsons in Rd 2.

Melo signs with the Bulls. ?the core of Noah melo and Even a gimpy rose can do some damage. Melo wants to win, he is doing everything he can to win games in new york. But he is playing with a bunch of bums. I believe melo is willing to do whatever it takes at this point.
Also, Melo actually is a decent defender. Hes not the all-world defender of a paul george or lebron. And never will be. But when he wants to be is an above average defender. Moving to a defensive minded team like the bulls,he will be motivated to devote more energy towards defense. And at the same time he would provide the bulls with the go-to scorer that they desperately need.

This would be a disaster for the rockets. Melo is too selfish to make it happen. The rockets have a great core and nice combo of young and experience. Don't screw it up by mortgaging the future for Carmelo. Let Los bulls have him
Crazy to me Carmelo still has suitors. Somehow people think he's a star. He's nothing but a higher profile josh smith. Only difference is josh smith can play defense.

Melo wants to win,
Hate this fricking line. Sooooo played out. EVERYONE wants to win. What does melo do to win? Besides bitch about losing? The day he plays defense or passes or takes 1 goddam charge, I'll care about him wanting to win. The truth is, he wants to be a big deal, he wants to score the basketball, he wants others to do the dirty work, and he wants to complain when he doesn't win.
He's a perfect fit with the Knicks. He can dominate the ball. He plays in the garden where win or lose, he's a story. He gets max, max money. And when he loses, it's never his fault.
