A travesty this isn't an afternoon kick with college gameday hype.

2 highest ranked teams matched up this week. Highly relevant.

These teams have won the conference more than any programs have recently. Can't remember the last time a team like Michigan or Nebraska or Iowa or Penn State won the conference. (Ok, yes it has been 12 years since Michigan won a championship) It has been Bucky and Sparty and Brutus for a long time.

The winner will have 2 huge wins under their belt already in September.

State will smash y'all. Most over hyped team in America by a wide margin

Yeah, I'm so accustomed to just tuning in around 3:30 until midnight because I can't normally do 12 hours anymore. But, I will have to this weekend due to all the Sparty friends and relatives.

I think MSU kicks their heads in, but I want a Badgers win to make the following week even bigger. If you guys even go 2-2 in this gauntlet, that is solid.

While I was thinking it'd be a 3:30 game or so (or at least on ABC/ESPN even at Noon), but I will say it works out great for my schedule that day :csb:

Nebraska was in the game in 2012 but got destroyed by UW, but that was a weird year with the legends/leaders crap and also PSU/OSU were restricted from playing CG or bowls.

I'm pretty excited about the game honestly.

Wisconsin is not a top program and not a good draw for television so that is why it's not a 2:30pm game. Penn State with its recent bad history and Michigan will make for a better national audience than seeing Michigan State blow out Wisconsin.

If MSU was playing Michigan or Penn State it would be the afternoon game.

Ah, you got the Indiana / Northwestern time slot this week. Pam Ward City.

It's okay. I was raised on SC being the noon game on JP Sports.

The resident UW hater. Well done my man.

While it does suck, the crowd should be a little less lubed up, and it allows myself and the GF and her merry band of Michigan grads to take in the UW game at the Badger bar and then saunter over to the Michigan bar for their game. So it sets up well. Gotta pace things.

I think we'll lose too, but I (and every LSU fan) thought we'd lose that game. Like I said for that one, lucky for use they're playing the game so we'll know soon enough.

Remember when Gameday used to go to the big ten like every week because they almost wouldn't come to SEC games that weren't on their network....what fickle assholes. They finally started going to the "actual" biggest games about 4 yrs ago when they cut a deal to get more SEC rights and control.

If Clement is healthy we have a decent chance.
Notre Dame probably isn't very good.

I think Wisconsin can do some work offensively with a healthy starting tailback and TE. The new QB could be legit.

Defensively the secondary is the weakness for UW in the middle.
But the front 7 can keep UW in most games.

Hard to pick against Dantonio at Spartan Stadium, but I think it will be a battle.

I've got it low scoring. Score will probably be something like 20-13 MSU

That really surprised me, since I just heard on the radio that it was Miles' 12th year.
Then I really had to do the math, through last season

Michigan= 83-56
Carr 27-11
RichRod 15-22
B Hoke 31-20
JHarbaugh 10-3

LSU= 112-31
Miles 112-31

Which is why Wisconsin has been featured on College Gameday a dozen times, which is Top-20 nationally.

In addition to both teams having a traditionally solid defense, each offense top-five nationally in TOP. Scoring opportunities will be at a premium.

I would agree that it will be a low-scoring game, though I would give Michigan State the edge playing in East Lansing.

Bad news for Wisconsin as Rafael Gaglianone (K) was ruled OUT on Saturday. Really too bad as he is one of the more clutch kickers in the country and was off to a dynamite start this season.

Wisconsin has a defense capable of keeping this game within striking distance. Unfortunately, keeping it within striking distance might require, you know, a kicker.

Andrew Endicott is set to handle FG attempts in place of Gaglianone. Endicott hasn't kicked a FG since HS and four of the last seven match-ups betweeen Wisconsin and Michigan State have been decided by three points.

Awesome.
