Not really. Chicago and Detroit games sell well but 2/3 of the crowd is rooting for the opponent. I watched one game last year where Detroit scored and the fans cheered; I thought the Stars were on the road and then realized it was a home game.

The rest of the time around 30-40% of the fans are rooting for the Stars' opponent. Even the Rangers' bandwagon fan base is better.

Because so many Yankees move to dallas. Seems like Houston is more south American oil barrons.

The Stars have great fan support nowadays. Thanks largely to the pop. growth in uptown, and the fact the team is good again.

Of course there are a lot of opposing fans there, for some games, but cowboys games are worse. It's the demos of Dallas.

The playoff run this year was very much home ice advantage.
