Why have Asian competitors taken over the LPGA but not the PGA?

If you look at any LPGA leaderboard, most of the top players are Korean, Japanese, ect...
Look at a PGA leaderboard and now that KJ Choi is old you'd have a hard time finding 1-2, what gives?

Should've cleared that up, I know you're joking about Tiger, but I mean people who are actually from Asian countries, not just Asian decent

Why are US women so dominant in soccer, but US men aren't? Us women care more about soccer than women in other countries maybe. Maybe asian women care more about golf than us women?

I read an article on this.
Asians are known for their intense work ethic. That equals millions of balls hit and precision. LPGA courses are not long, so power does not play a factor.
The men, however now play longer courses than ever. Asian men are not know for power.

All of this. On top of that, Asian women also had an influence like Se Ri Pak in the early 2000s that the men haven't had yet, and there are way more U.S. Men that play golf from an early age then US women so the women's field isn't as deep.

I'm guessing it's because so many men around the world play golf that it's difficult for any one group to dominate.
But with women, I assume the number of women who play golf is fairly small, relatively speaking. So the talent pool is not very deep.
Therefore, if one group of people, like South Korea decide to ramp up a female golf program, they can probably start dominating.

I dk, doesn't Inbee Park hit it further than just about anyone on the LPGA tour? And that South American chick who retired a few years ago and was really good was always leading the tour in driving distance.

No, I think Park wins tournaments with her very impressive wedge game and putting ability. (I'm embarrassed about my LPGA knowledge btw.)

Lorena Ochoa? She was Mexican, but she freaking pounded the ball for her size.

Re: Asian men. Things will change in about 5-10 years. China is going through a massive expansion of new golf courses (with American designers). A very large number of young boys are playing now. The best will be on the pro tours and since China has waaaay more Asians than the rest of Asia combined their numbers will be noticed.

Why are most of the dry cleaners Korean?

Asian competitors have may a strong showing the PGA the last few years. Look at who is leading the Quicken Loans Tourney this weekend: Ryo Ishikawa.

This weeks tourney aside, when is the last time an Asian male made a big splash at a top 20 PGA tourney other than KJ Choi?

Splash? Not in a long time. Hideki Matsuyama is making a strong showing this season. Currently ranked 16th in the Fedex cup standings. I think he will be a stud on tour in the next few years.
Eta: 8 Top 10 finishes already this year.

I have friends and family who spent time in Korea. They have told me that in Korea men love golf just as much as women but young men and boys are encouraged to find success via education and careers whereas Korean culture does not still encourage as many girls and young women to become professionals and get highly educated.
Young Korean men are raised to believe that sports is not your way to upper-class status and wealth. Though you do see Korean men do well in baseball, soccer, and video games globally for the size of their country.
But girls for some reason are encourage to excel at golf and in movies, music, and so on. It's just considered more culturally acceptable for young Korean women to pursue careers in golf than let's say business, science, law, medicine, academics and so on.
