To be fair, the lightning can pack the place when they are winning. The rays not so much

Not too sure about Cleveland. In a few years that place will have the population of Baton Rouge the way it's going.

Yeah, Tampa is doing pretty well. Miami on the other hand...

If they had built an arena here, or at least in the East Valley, the franchise would be far better off today.

Attendance was strong across the board this year with 3 notable exceptions.

Tampa has had good support for the past 10 years or so once they fixed their ownership issues.

Dallas did fairly well considering they were mediocre/bad and clearly weren't trying to win this year after trading away the older guys.

Only AZ pro team that I've never cared for. I'm a huge fan of the other 3. Some other city can have the Yotes for all I care.

1. Quebec
2. Utah
3. Seattle
4. Portland
5. Saskatchewan (Regina)
6. Green Bay/Milwaukee

Really, any of those teams beat hockey in Phoenix and Florida.

It'll be interesting to see if:

A) The Blue Jackets continue their success

and

B) More fans attend games.

The issue is that the CBJ were riding a hot goalie, which has failed us in the past (Mason). But I think Columbus will support this team next year to start, and if we start strongly attendance will soar a bit.

Don't forget Kansas City, they are pretty high up the list and have wanted an NHL team since trying to acquire the Penguins in the Sprint Center.

Would Cincinnati be a good NHL city?

People love the Lightning, especially the new ownership. I love going to games at the Forum, and I am not a big hockey guy, they have just done a great job of really making it the must-go to sporting event in town.
