Yeah but athletic qbs like that have a short span, once a team figures him out, the rest will do the same.

He isn't what he once was and that was a flash in the pan

If you watched the game last night it would be evident that very very few QBs would have turned in a good performance.

1. The SF receivers were never open. Simms pointed this out damn near every play. Since 2013 Seattle has figured out that they can jam the SF receivers very well and they won't be a threat. Boldin has no chance at his age and Torrey Smith is a deep threat who failed to get open deep on Sherman. Kap did have some success throwing to Davis, which he did when he had time.

2. The OL is an abortion, and all those sacks largely weren't QB-driven.

3. The playcalling was atrocious. Hyde should have gotten the ball more. Coming out first drive throwing 3 straight times is lunacy and puts unecessary pressure on Kap.

Tldr Seattle is good on defense across the board, SF is not good on offense across the board, and if you're being honest a different QB would make little practical difference.
