I think its a geographic thing but you also must consider the fact that Texas can't control Lville or any legislation in Kentucky

OBSESSED!

What control would any legislation in Texas have over TCU?

TCU is culturally and academically more aligned with Big 12/Midwest Plains than a Dixie school like Louisville.

Many of us originally from the region wanted Notre Dame over West Virginia, or else see OU and UT move to the PAC for culture and academic progress.

Will Cincinnati end up in the Big XII or ACC when it is all said and done?

Yeah, while most conferences want to add markets, the Big 12 just needs warm bodies. It almost doesn't matter who they add, so long as its remotely credible. Get to 12 teams.
right...If I am the Big 12, I am looking at Tulane, Cincinnati, Boise State or BYU.

Tulane gets them into talent-rich Louisiana. Tulane is also pouring money into their athletics.

Cincinnati gets them into the Midwest.

Boise State gives them a strong football program.

BYU is a stretch due to the fact that don't play on Sundays...but perhaps it could work

I am not so sure that the ACC goes away any more...perhaps we will have five super conferences.

The core ACC schools bias against WVU goes way way way way back my friend.

Still hoping the Big12 dies. The only way the Pac12 gets to 16 is by grabbing Texas and friends.

actually a major part of the reason was most of the other Big 12 schools were pissed about losing A&M and they wanted another Texas team to replace us. The out of state teams wanted another school in Texas for recruiting and Baylor/Tech wanted them for travel purposes.

It was a concession by Texas to help calm the serfs of the conference. DeLoss actually wanted Louisville to come with WVU.

no, they were not. Texas did not want TCU. Texas needed to make some concessions after driving away 4 schools with the LHN fiasco.

FACT: TCU beat Louisville 3 out of 4 times when they were in CUSA together

FACT: Amon G. Carter Stadium is a better football facility than Papa John's Stadium

FACT: TCU has a more elite baseball program.

FACT: TCU beat Rick Pitino 2 times when they were in Conference USA

FACT: TCU is a better recruiting ground

FACT: TCU has more football success in their history

FACT: While TCU's win over Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl was equal to Louisville's win over Florida, the Rose Bowl is more prestigious and TCU went undefeated in their BCS seasons.

FACT: Louisville never won the Big East outright while TCU won the MWC outright 3 times.

FACT: Gary Patterson is a better coach than Charlie Strong

FACT: TCU has a bigger endowment

FACT: TCU is more prestigious academically

FACT: Fort Worth is a better city than Louisville

The Big XII is built around having Texas and a bunch of patsies. Currently it's backfiring and Texas is the patsy. Everyone point and laugh at Texas.

A 12-team Big 12 probably sends Okie St to the title game last year

Not necessarily. It depends who the 11th and 12th teams are.

Had Colorado and Nebraska never left, Oklahoma State would have likely had to play in Lincoln against a team that beat them by 5 touchdowns the year before.

Great Grief! This was once upon a time when TCU faced NO ONE. You see their record this year after playing some competition.

The Big12 made a huge mistake in taking WVU over Louisville and I think your president at OU was a huge supporter of Louisville. Not sure who fricked it up. Probably Texas.

Yeah, I'm sure 5 regular season losses has nothing to do with playing the most true freshmen and redshirt freshmen in FBS and having the youngest team of Gary Patterson's tenure--and it still would've only been 3 losses or less if TCUs QB didn't get a DUI two days before the home conference opener against ISU (which TCU lost in OT with a redshirt freshman at QB).
