i saw mallett got resigned. Ryan leaf got multiple shots. Johnny football continues to get shots. Jeff George couldn't stay off a roster. How did no one take a second chance on Russell? He had one year that wasn't terrible the got cut the next.

If I recall, he got a few chances to try out after he was an official bust.

His last year, he started 9 games and went 2-7 with 3 touchdowns and 11 interceptions and a 48.8% completion percentage. He also gained a bunch of weight. Ryan Leaf and Jamarcus Russell played the exact same amount of years - 3. Leaf only started 3 games his last year. Look at actual data instead of whatever the hell you used for this terrible thread.

He played sparingly year 1 the as a starter in his de facto rookie season ( due to prolonged hold out) he performed about similar to other rookies and then year three gets cut.

Leaf was signed to three other teams besides the Chargers and played for the Cowboys. Jamarcus had one team

Let's get one thing clear at the outset -- are you angry because everyone hates LSU, or are you upset because racism?

Mallett Has an extensive drug history and misses a flight to a game and gets resigned in the same season.

Mallett is a better NFL qb than Jamarcus

Neither it's just strange how no one took a chance on the guy with his talent. You think there would be one team stubborn enough to think they could be the ones to fix him.

H3 wanted and then didn't, by the time he wanted back in it was really.too late. He put in the work and what not but no team wanted to take a chance. Then he didn't sustain that motivation to keep in shape in case a team called again.
Now he just lives off the money he made in the NFL.

I've read that his involvement with drugs have a lot to do with why he never got another shot. Remember that Russell got in trouble after the while Mike Vick case. The NFL was on high alert back then.

He was borderline special education, that doesn't work in the NFL. I remember one Reveille winter party upstairs at Varsity where he sat there fricked up on drank and could barely speak, really can't shake that moment.

I know (or at least I hope) that you are trolling but in Malletts 5th year in the league in which he had a career learning from the best-> Tom Brady he threw for a similar completion percentage as Jruss (low 50s) and had a TD/INT ratio of 3/4 misses the teams plane for a game and gets cut. He has now been resigned.

In Jamarcus' first full season he throws for 2000+ yards and has 13 TDs to 8 INTs. Not great but there are certainly worse years for first year stating as a qb.

His reputation was self inflicted. Its just every year some loser retread gets resigned when no one even looked a Jruss.
