It is a great showcase camp for recruiting prospects
I would tend to disagree with you on this. I think the camp is designed for young kids to interact and learn from some the best college players in the country. Top prospects are better off attending specific college football camps to showcase their talents.

You don't think those players talk to their coaches?

I'm sure that might happen on very rare occasions. But for the most part the college players don't work with every kid at the camp and some don't even know the names of kids in their group. They often just refer to them by the logo on the shirt.

The place is riddled with scouts

Not a lot of learning going on but a lot of showing what you got

It is one of many opportunities for exposure. Really no downside to it.

I didn't think about that aspect of it. My son is not a college prospect, I just send him for the experience of being around all of those guys.

Yes he did and he did a great job with the kids as well. I will definitely keep an eye on him next season.

Is that why the only player rated higher than him in the country signed an LOI with LSU that year?

You're not seriously implying that Peyton made some sort of mistake in, or otherwise holding it against him for, not choosing to play for Curley Hallman, right?

How did you get that from what he said?

Of course, and that is what I mentioned is a great experience for the kids.

I only say that if the only goal is to get better at playing a position, they have some camps that are better from an instructional POV

But as far as your kid having a good time, or if your kid happens to be an unknown, it is a good way to get a lot of exposure or just be around some talented and fun players

I don't care for the Mannings. I don't hate them but I don't really like them.

I give exactly 0 fricks about the MPA either way.

Archie & Co. chose to play their college ball elsewhere. Which they had every right to do, but they don't get any special props from me for anything they might have done after that.
Were you disappointed when Archie didn't choose LSU?

I never dealt with them personally but the stories I've heard make them seem like douche bags (especially Archie).
Details?

I've heard douchebag stories about Eli and that Peyton hits on every attractive female he meets (if that makes him a douchebag) but nothing like that about Archie.

Thread on TD about Mettenberger not going to the MPA. Several negative posts about the MPA.

The negativity is in reference to Jordan Jefferson in multiple years after a fricking awful as frick year being reported as one of the "more impressive QB's" at the camp during drills or some shite and rantards (Sunshine pumpers) took it to mean he was on his way to football glory after 1 week of throwing footballs w/o pads to high school kids.

The MPA itself is good, but that nugget is what rustles the LSU rantard jimmies.
