Too early and close to call.

I wouldn't trade, though

Winston has the luxury of a top 5 receiver. Mariota is killing it with Delanie Walker as his biggest weapon. Could go either way.

Based on what? Outside of a few games he hasn't lit it up

Has a worse receiving core, worse oline and coach, yet somehow it is close. It's not close

Winston has not improved from year 1 to 2 nearly at all.

sub 60 comp%
28 turnovers in 22 games
inconsistent game to game

so meh

Winston has Mike Evans and a bunch of trash at wr. Silly to even say it's "not close"

I'd say you're right. They are different kinds of players. They both play on bad teams

Winston has better receivers. Mariota has a better line and running game.

Right now when Mariota is on, the sky seems like the limit. The knock so far is his consistency. But, holy shite, he's so good when he's firing on all cylinders.

One has been improving every game and Keeps his turnovers down. The other is a turnover machine and is still making the same mistakes he did last season

Best thing from Mariota this season is that he has been much better throwing downfield. That ball to Wright tonight was perfect.

IN the end, I think it will be Winston

When he's on it's freaking epic and so fun to watch.

I also think the dude has the most uncanny playaction fake of all time. I imagine it's a product of the read stuff they did at Oregon, but even when the dude is giving a straight handoff on a dive I have to double take to see if he has the ball or not. It's flawless.

It's still the worst part of his game, if you wanna pick him apart. The ball tonight to Wright was beautiful. He had a deep throw last week against the Colts (think it was to Matthews?) that he just completely missed. His deep ball is inconsistent but it seems to be improving.

I wouldn't trade him for Winston. Absolutely not.

I'm a Titans fans and haven't watched much of Winston. I can tell you Mariota has something like 36 turnovers in 20 games and he always seems to turnover the ball at the worst time. See the Indy game last week. Other than that, I have no complaints. He is a scoring machine. 36 total touchdowns to start his career, 33 passing. He needs 7 more to tie Newton.

This is false. He has 25 TO's in 20 career starts. 16 INT's and 9 fumbles. He does seem to turn it over in inopportune times but he's certainly improving game by game.

To add to the stats about Marcus... in his career, he has 25 TD's and 0 Int in the Red Zone. He's absolutely deadly when the field shrinks and it's been a lot of fun to watch down near the goal line. That block he threw last night ahead of Murray for the TD

PFF rated the Titans OL no.1 in the NFL. They sucked the last 2 years but they have been really good this year.

Yea, someone hasn't been paying attention. Not that the Titans were giving many reasons to watch...

Conklin and Lewan have been playing at a Pro Bowl level.
