CC Sabathia
Wang
Burnett
Joba
Hughes/fill in the blank

is one really good rotation.

Not really. Burnett has injury problems and always has an ERA around 4. Wang missed most of last year. Joba has only been a starter 1 year and didn't do much. And Hughes sucks. If CC gets hurt, that rotation could actually wind up sucking pretty bad.

I forgot about Price to be honest. The AL East is loaded with pitching. I just think the Yankees will have a really solid rotation if everyone stays healthy.

If Wang stays healthy and Joba pitches from the rotation like he did from the pen then they have a shot. The wild card is AJ because when healthy he isn't all that consistent

Throw the emergence of David Price into this equation and then lets talk about best rotation in baseball:

It's close between the Rays and Sox. Without Penny and Smoltz on the back-end, I'd give the nod to the Rays. They Yankees are not even in this conversation.

Sonnanstine is as good as any 5th guy in baseball, if we're comparing apples to apples

Joba actually did pretty well in his starts last year, 2.60 era 1.26 whip.

AJ Burnett does have injury problems, but when he's on the mound he has good pitches. Wang was injured last year, but the two years before he won 19 games. Hughes has kind of sucked but he has a lot of potential to break out.

Let me just say that I like they Yankees, and I like Burnett and Joba. There's just more question marks there than the other 2 rotations. If they all have career years, it could wind up being one of the best rotations of all time.

I'm speaking out of pure potential right now. If everyone pitches up to potential, the rotation is really good.

No shite HC

If every pitcher on any rotation has career years they will be one of the best rotations of all time

If all three (Sox,Yanks, and Rays) stay healthy this could be one of the best division races ever. The Sox offense really shouldn't be a problem, Youk, Pedroia, and Ellsbury will all be a year better and with Ortiz healthy and Bay being more comfortable in Boston they'll continue to put up runs.
