My take is BPA at one of these positions: G,C,DE, NG, CB

Who are the best players that are likely to be available for them at 14?

In no order here are the players I believe will go early in the draft:

Luck
Richardson
Claiborne
RGIII
Tyler Wilson
Merciluss
Kalil
Kirkpatrick
Blackmon

Not sure about the next tier. seems like Dallas could be in position to get the top G or C in the draft or one of hte top DEs

Next year will be his 3rd year, right? I don't think he's eligible.

he is eligible this year and would be rated as the 3rd QB

David DeCastro is the best Guard prospect in a while, and he should be taken within the top 15-20.

He is a redshirt junior this year, so yeah, he is eligible. I think he might stay though.

He was projected to be the 3rd QB taken this year by someone (Kiper I believe).

DeCastro
Ingram (if he can play end in a 3-4)
Hightower

One of those 3.

Forgot about DeCastro. I think that has to be the guy for Dallas assuming he doesn't get scooped up before that.

no Hightower please. We need to rebuild the lines or take a top CB.

Neither might be available. Teams usually don't take guards, centers or non pass rushing LBs in the 1st though. So we should either trade up for Kirkpatrick or Claiborne, or trade down.

Are there any legit GMs available in this draft? They should probably go that direction.

You don't trade up when you have as many holes as the Cowboys do. If anything I trade down and get more 2nd, 3rd or 4th round picks. they needs lots of help on both lines and the secondary.

While serviceable Guards usually aren't that hard to find, DeCastro is being billed at the next Steve Hutchinson(who went 17th overall in 2001)...

Dallas has the worst guards and center in all of football. they need to be able to run the ball between the tackles better and stop pressure right up the middle on Romo. I take DeCastro in aheartbeat.

He's also the top pull blocker in the draft, he just crushes people at Stanford...

Fwiw, Tyler Wilson is expected back next year according to a couple sources, he supposedly didn't like his grade he got back.
