If the scenario I'm gonna spell out happens, who gets in? Here is the current top ten for reference:

1. Clemson
2. Alabama
3. Oklahoma
4. Iowa
5. Michigan State
6. Notre Dame
7. Baylor (Lost last night)
8. Ohio State
9. Stanford
10. Michigan

If Alabama, Clemson, and Oklahoma win out we can safely say they're in.

Baylor lost last night.

If Michigan beats Ohio State, Stanford beats Notre Dame, Michigan State loses to Penn State, and then Michigan beats Iowa to win the Big Ten and Stanford wins the Pac-12, who gets the #4 seed?

Michigan would have two losses, the Big Ten title, wins over Ohio State, Iowa, Northwestern (who beat Stanford), and BYU. Plus they'd have a top 3 defense, Jim Harbaugh, and they're a brand name. And the Michigan State loss could be interpreted as flukey.

Stanford would have two losses, the Pac 12 Title, wins over USC, UCLA, Washingston State, Notre Dame, and the Pac-12 South Champion.

I don't care about anything else as long as Notre Dame loses and Michigan State gets in. I like Mark Dantonio and hope his team can make it in.

So Notre Dame loses to Stanford and goes up in the rankings.

I think Michigan should get in over Stanford in that situation.

I'd say Michigan.

I feel like their wins are better than Stanford's, as well as their losses.

If Michigan wins the Big 10, I'll vouch for the Big 12 Champ. No two loss teams when there are still one loss teams.

I'd say Michigan.

They pretty much beat MSU save for the fluke play at the end, and they will have beaten Ohio State and Iowa.

Stanford's schedule has been pretty overrated this year. They've played 4 ranked teams and have lost to 2 of them in Northwestern and Oregon.

In this scenario Oklahoma beats OKST, so Oklahoma is a 1 loss Big XII Champ and in and Baylor/TCU/OKST all have 2 losses.

Michigan. Michigan has the common opponent argument (Northwestern). One of each team's losses are washes (Utah and Northwestern are about the same). Michigan's other loss is better (Michigan State vs. Oregon). The Ohio State/Notre Dame wins would be washes. Michigan's other big wins would be Iowa, Northwestern and PSU. I think that's slightly better (mainly because of Iowa) than USC, UCLA and one of those two again.
