What metrics are you guyz using to make your picks?

Me personally, I'm looking at what matchups there are down the road that are favorable and what games there are this week. I don't want to waste a good team early that has an even better matchup later, like a game against the Browns or Jets.
No way am I wasting KC or the Steelers now when both have favorable matchups against the Browns and Texans later.
If Miami had 2 games under their belt, I'd take them against the Jets. Miami is a mediocre team that won't present many opportunities down the road. Cleveland/Indy is enticing, but both suck and either could win that game.
Baltimore over the Jags is a pretty obvious one to me. Baltimore D has been a monster, and the Jags have Bortles. Baltimore will shut down Fournette, and Bortles is crap.
Many seem to be on the Oackers bandwagin, but the Packers scare me because Jordy and Cobb are injured. Cincy has been bad, but they just fired their OC and are on the verge of their season falling apart. The Packers defense is also dealing with injuries, and while Cincy has been horrid on offense, they have played two stud defenses. Green Bay is not that...by a long shot.
I'm a Packers fan, but that matchup just bugs me, and we may not know who plays for the Pack until game time, and by then, you're screwed.

Hasn't yet, Schwami.
You honestly think Jacksonville is beating Baltimore?

In terms of travel, yes. But crowd, it'll be a home game.

Jax has a decent defense, BAL does not have a great offense, away game. There are better games to pick.
I have NE this week.

Nice! Haven’t seen many Springs Tigers around here. How long have you been up here?

It's an away game for both teams, and Jacksonville offense is worse than Baltimore's.

Baltimore's defense seems tough so far but they sort of hit the jackpot in the early part of the season with the schedule.
@Cincinnati- who still hasn't scored a TD.
Browns- rookie QB.
Jags- want to run the ball a lot and the best WR they have on the team is out for the rest of the year.
I'm in a pool this year for Survivor and leaning Patriots. I hate to use them so early and they are banged up on offense. But I just can't see any way they lose their first 2 home games of the year. They will look to redeem themselves at home.
Beating the Saints on the road was expected and surprised absolutely no one.

Ive used Steelers and Buccaneers. Going New England for the safe pick this week because when I get too cute this early I'm normally out early
Green Bay being other safe pick but I'm saving the for the saints because Aaron Rodgers owns the saints
Other match ups I liked at a first glance where
Oakland @ Washington
Denver @ Buffalo
Seattle @ Tennesee
All had to fly across the country so it scared me off.
